It was a rather brisk & foggy November morn when Farnsworth entered my study and inquired as to the status of my anniversary gift for my wife, Lilith. At first I was inclined to congratulate the man on a whimsical jest and get back to my morning tea, when all at once my stomach dropped upon my realization that Farnsworth was being entirely serious. I had forgotten to procure an anniversary trinket for Lilith and our anniversary was but a week away. I immediately gathered the lot of the servants and publicly flogged Farnsworth for not providing me with this valuable intelligence at an earlier date. One man’s pain is lesson enough for the whole lot, my uncle Effram once said.

Having exacted my revenge upon Farnsworth, I was still left with my unpleasant and inconvenient dilemma. If I was to enter Lilith’s wing of the manor having neglected to procure an anniversary trinket, I would surely be the recipient of a solemn talking to; needless to say, my membership to my father-in-law’s bridge club would surely be in jeopardy. My wife is a sullen woman by nature, reminiscent of my late aunt Helena, who suffered from a severe case of gout. To disappoint her on our anniversary would be a mistake I would not soon forget, to be sure.

It was then, at my moment of deepest despair, that Farnsworth entered my sitting room with a portable computing device displaying the aforementioned dandy listed on this page. For the reasonable price and free cost of lading I was simply tickled! I ordered the trinket and upon its prompt delivery was pleasantly surprised with the quality, considering the small sum owed to the seller.

$1,269,555.00 and only 7.91 carats. The grocery shrink ray even strikes luxury diamonds. Reduced size from a full 8 carats to 7.91 carats. I’ll bet the package still says 8 carats!
