If you’re engagement ring shopping (or dreaming) you’ve encountered several different styles of rings. If you had to choose between the Halo Diamond Engagement Ring (a round, oval or cushion-cut diamond encircled by a “halo” of micro pave diamonds) or a traditional solitaire diamond ring, which would you select?

    Halo.

Between those two choices, I would choose a halo style ring.
I prefer rings with multiple stones, while a halo isn’t my 1st choice, I would prefer it to a solitaire.

solitaire is the best. it’s classic. no matter what year you’re at, it doesn’t get outdated. besides when you give a ring it has to last forever. not have it re designed every year!!!!! so go with the solitaire, it’s classic.

I wanted a simple, classic solitaire, not round. Hubby picked out an oval. I’ve always been happy with it–33 years now. I can add stack type rings on either side and I’ve had 2 different types of wrap rings that wrap around my diamond to give it a different look. Most of the time I wear it just as it is, and between 2 plain bands–one is my wedding ring and one was my first anniversary gift. I”ve found it to be very versatile, and I don’t have to worry about losing any pave diamonds.

    Traditional solitaire.

I love a halo setting, but not as an engagement ring. They’re far too trendy and many of them look like UFOs.

The halo is quite nice if you want more bling and less emphasis on the center stone. My tastes have become more simple. I go for the sleek elegant solitaire with a Whiteflash ‘A Cut Above’ branded Super Ideal Cut diamond. This is a diamond that spreads light under all lighting conditions and it will definitely catch the eye of others.
