This spider was encountered on my bacl porch. I live in a south suburb of Chicago, Il. The spider was jet black with a yellow diamond on its back end. It front two legs each had yellow stripe. It had the build of what I know as a bannana spider, but no where near the size.. It wasnt a large at all. But its markings distinct and clearly visible even at a distance.
